Every doctor needs to create, grow and nurture an audience.

It’s how you build your online reputation and build the know, like, and trust factor with potential patients. You can do this in many ways but they all involve creating content. And amongst all those, my favorite is podcasting.

Specifically, being a guest on other people’s podcasts. Here’s why:

Reason #1: You reach people you wouldn’t reach otherwise.

If you start your own podcast, you have to build your audience from scratch. But when you are a guest on other people’s podcasts, you reach their audience.

Reason #2: You don’t need to prepare anything.

When you’re interviewed on a podcast, you –and your expertise– are the content.

Reason #3: You get content to share with your audience.

A podcast in which you’re interviewed becomes a digital asset you can repurpose and share with your own audience.

Reason #4: You expand your network.

Being on someone else’s podcast is a great way to grow your network. Many of the people who have interviewed me have gone to become joint venture partners and a source of referrals for my businesses.
