As A Physician Turned Online Entrepreneur These Are My 3 Must-Have Tools

For the last decade or so, I’ve run and owned a handful of businesses.

Some have been medical practices. But most have been entirely online businesses. As of this writing I own a medical marketing agency, a podcast production company, and my own consultancy as a fractional CMO. All 3 of these businesses are run entirely online, with fully remote teams.

And whenever I get on a call with a doctor looking to start an online business, there are always questions about the tools I use.

So here are 3 my must-have tools to start your online venture as a doctor:

1. Ontraport: This is the engine to my entire online operation. It handles my CRM, my landing pages, top-of-the-line tracking analytics, member’s area, email marketing, super powerful automations, payment gateways, and a long list of etceteras.
   This is the only tool you’ll need to pay for when you start your online venture. It is beginner friendly, has great support, grows with your business, and won’t break the bank.
2. Stripe: You need to get paid, right? Setting up a stripe account is fast an easy. It’s free and you only pay a commission per transaction –just like every payment gateway. You can accept payment in multiple currencies and receive it in your own bank account in a few days. Connect it to your Ontraport account, and you’re in business in a few clicks.
3. Calendly: Scheduling made easy. I allow my clients to self-schedule consulting calls, meetings, podcast recordings, or anything else. It checks my availability in multiple calendars and each meeting type has its own settings. It integrates with Stripe and PayPal so clients can book and pay all within Calendly. If you’re starting out a coaching or consulting business, this is a must have!
