When I was in my mid 30s, I was introduced to “America’s Foremost Business Philosopher” Jim Rohn.

I was just starting to really dive into Personal Development. The idea of being able to continue growing and developing any skill I chose was as simple as it was earth-shattering to me. But, like most beginners, I was making a lot of mistakes. Namely, I became obsessed with “learning” and not with “doing”.

Until one day, watching one of Jim Rohn’s seminars on video I heard him say:

“We must learn to apply all that we know so that we can attract all that we want“

    Jim Rohn

That day, my whole life changed.

You see, I had spent the last few months consuming books, podcasts, videos and everything related to personal development. These new concepts made perfect sense and fit neatly in my mind. I finally understood why certain things happened the way they did or how to get different results.

But after a few months of studying and learning I had little to show for it.

Looking back, it’s easy to see I had become addicted to learning.

Perhaps this has happened to you as well…

It makes sense: learning feels safe. There’s no risk of failure as long as you’re learning. And nobody is going to fault you for learning before acting.

But learning will not get you results. Only doing will.
