I have been a practicing physician for 15 years.

Since starting as an intern and working my way up to my own private practice, I have learned a lot about what it takes to solve some of the biggest problems doctors face in our industry. In fact, they are a lot simpler to solve than most people think. You just need to change how you're thinking about them.

Here they are, and how to solve them:

  1. Crushing student loans: Become an entrepreneur so nobody but you can decide how much your time and your expertise is worth.
  2. Dealing with insurance: Become an entrepreneur and go cash-only.
  3. Spending more time checking boxes than patients: Become an entrepreneur and practice medicine on your terms.

See? That wasn't so hard.
